PROJECT COVERAGE
The objective of the project was to support the Kenya Trade Remedies Agency (KETRA) to implement trade remedy measures.
Two-fold purposes: To strengthen KETRA’s institutional capacity for managing unfair trade practices; and to conduct situational analyses of the state of unfair trade practices facing the manufacturing sector in Kenya.
Three-fold Project outputs:
- Enable the Agency to understand the problems and challenges faced by domestic industries;
- A pilot study on the trade remedies effects on the manufacturing sector undertaken; and
- Strategies for future investigations and interventions established.

RESULTS ACHIEVED
Purpose 1: To strengthen KETRA’s institutional capacity for managing unfair trade practices

Purpose 2: To conduct situational analyses of the state of unfair trade practices facing the manufacturing sector in Kenya
- Pilot study on the trade remedies effects on the manufacturing sector undertaken;
- Strategies for future investigations and interventions established
Programme funded by European Union at the request of the Organisation of African Caribbean and Pacific States - Implemented by AESA CONSORTIUM
