PROJECT COVERAGE
The general objective of the project is to contribute to the competitiveness of the Senegalese economy and to sustainable economic development, by strengthening the capacities of the Centre for Research, Analysis of Exchanges and Statistics (CRADES) in the areas of inventory and efficient implementation of trade agreements.
Two-fold purposes: Support CRADES to set up the price and inventory observatory; and build the capacities of CRADES staff on the implementation of impact studies on trade agreements.
Two-fold Project outputs:
- The study on the establishment of a price and inventory observatory is carried out; and
- The capacities of CRADES officers to carry out impact studies on trade agreements have been strengthened.
Intervention areas:
- Statistics in services;
- Trade facilitation measures;
- The impact of ZLECAF on the Senegalese economy;
- STATA and GAMS software training and capacity building.
RESULTS ACHIEVED
Purpose 1: Support CRADES to set up the price and inventory observatory
- The study on the establishment of a price and inventory observatory is carried out.
Purpose 2: Build the capacities of CRADES agents in the implementation of impact studies on trade agreements.
- The capacities of CRADES officers to carry out impact studies on trade agreements have been strengthened.
